People were very welcoming, very friendly and the decor is well done. The steak was delicious and the desserts were excellent. Easy to find on the mail street of Huntly and quite a surprise to find such an up-market restaurant in the a town like Huntly. Good place to stop for a meal or break your journey from or to Auckland

Seriously great food! Pork belly was delicious and huge, lamb rump was pretty nice as well but you just HAVE to try the buffalo wings. Never had better EVER!! Would travel from Auckland to Huntly again to eat here.

Great location, spacious rooms, friendly staff. Showers are amazing, loved having lots of towels. Good location to other cafes/takeaways. Although our room faced the road the rooms were quiet. Be careful on the ramp leading to carpark it is dangerous, perhaps a rubber mat would stop people falling over?

One night in Huntly and a very limited choice of eateries. It is all fast food with the exception of The Essex Arms. We had low expectations and were blown away about how good the food was. The pork infused with bourbon is a must and the chicken with quinoa was also excellence. Limited choice of wine and beers but well worth it for the food alone. The art decor building is lovely to look at too
